What do I need to provide to hire a car?

Following booking of your rental you will under usual circumstances receive an email confirming the full rental details. In that email we will request:

• Copy of all drivers driving licenses (both parts if UK or International Drivers License if not EU, EEA, US, AUS, NZ or Swiss driving license holder).
• Copy of your utility bill.
• Copy of passport.
• Completed Drivers Form (which can be downloaded throughout this site) for each driver.

These documents will ideally be forwarded in advance of your rental by fax or email. Please also have copies with you at the time of vehicle handover.  

These terms may be different if the car is being supplied by a partner company.

Do CC4H have any cars for sale?

Not right now - we may do so in the future, so check back soon.

How does the whole process work?

Customers make an enquiry via the website or phone. We then follow the following 7 Steps -

1. Respond to the enquiry providing full details of the rental including the price and terms.
2. Customer accepts our quote and reserves the car by phone, fax or paypal.
3. We email the customer with the reservation details and request copies of driving licences etc..
4. We process the deposit on the day or day before the rental starts.
5. Customer collectes the car and heads off for an enjoyable rental.
6. Customer returns the car.
7. We refund the deposit and send the customer an email saying the refund has been made and thank you for choosing Cool Cars 4 Hire.

Nice, simple and professional.

This process may be different is a partner company is supplying the car.

What about mileage & fuel?

All cars are provided with a mileage allowance of 100 miles per day.

Additional miles are charged as follows:

• Smart Cars - 20p per mile
• Fiat 500 Abarth – 30p per mile
• Mini Cooper & Mini Cooper S - 30p per mile
• Mini Cooper Convertible & Mini Cooper S Convertible - 30p per mile
• Audi S4 Convertible - 40p per mile
• Range Rover Vogue Supercharged – 50p per mile
• Mini John Cooper Works – 75p per mile
• Porsche Boxster S - £1.00 per mile
• Range Rover Evoque - £1.25 per mile
• Range Rover Sport 3.0L TDV6 - £1.25 per mile
• Mercedes S-Class S350 - £1.25 per mile
• Mercedes S63 AMG - £2.00 per mile
• Aston Martin V8 Vantage - £2.00 per mile
• Audi R8 - £2.00 per mile

 

All other cars and rentals in excess of 10 days on request.

What’s the deposit ?

The deposit taken covers the insurance excess. Whilst cars are in the customers care we hold a fully refundable deposit of: 

·         Smart Car - £750.00

·         Fiat 500 Abarth – £750.00

·         Mini Cooper & Mini Cooper S - £750.00

·         Mini Cooper Convertible & Mini Cooper S Convertible - £750.00

·         Audi S4 Convertible - £1250.00

·         Porsche Boxster - £1250.00

·         Range Rover Supercharged - £2000.00

 

 

For rentals up to 5 days we pre-authorize the deposit on your Credit/Debit card, which gets released on car return. For 6 days+ we debit your card and refund it after return.

Can you ensure a specific colour

If you require a car of a specific colour, maybe for a wedding, film/tv, photo shoot, special occasion or other event we will endeavor to provide your exact match

How can I reserve my car

Please submit your enquiry via the 'make an enquiry' button at the top of the page or call the rental team directly on +44 (0)20 7794 4000.

Thereafter bookings can be confirmed by phone or fax.

What are your terms and conditions?

Simply our terms are:

·         Payment is made at the time of booking by phone or bank transfer.

·         The security deposit / insurance excess is processed on the day or day before the start of the rental. This is normally taken as a credit card pre-authorization, or for longer rentals we take payment, which is refunded in full once the vehicle has been returned and checked over and we are satisfied there are no further monies due.

 

Our insurance terms are:

·         Hirers must have held a full license for at least 1 year.

·         Hirers must be aged 21 to 70 (there is a small extra charge for drivers aged 24 and below).

·         Hirers must not be professional entertainers (actors, singers etc.) or sports people.

·         Hirers must have no more than 6 endorsement points.
